Sum and Substance Hosta has huge chartreuse leaves that are rounded and wavy.  If you want to cover a LOT of ground then this is the hosta for you! They grow up to 6 feet wide. Sum and Substance Hosta provide a lot of color in your shady areas.  In mid to late summer lavender blooms emerge on tall stems. 

Hostas are extremely popular, hardy herbaceous perennials grown primarily for their beautiful foliage. They are easy to grow, shade-tolerant plants.  The plants are low maintenance.  Hostas originally came from Japan, China, and Korea.  They were first introduced to Europe in the late 1700s and then came to the United States in the middle 1800s.
