So far the trip home has been pleasantly uneventful but unfortunately there have also not been any buffalos or alpacas just a lot of corn fields.

We are way behind schedule now even though we got up early. We happened across Dixie Gun Works which was more like a museum than a store. In fact they did have a classic car museum. It was a neat place and we spent almost 2 hours looking around.

We crossed the Mississippi Rive for the 4th time in 4 weeks. I am so ready to be home.

We traded corn fields for soybeans now. There are good roads in NE Arkansas but you have to drive bad roads in between to get to them.

Only about 4 more hours to go now. Yea.

Guess I spoke too soon. Going through Searcy we were almost side swiped by an idiot in a big pickup. You know the type: jacked up truck, owns the road, in a hurry to get where ever and not paying attention to anyone else. He merged into the right lane from the on ramp and kept coming over into our lane. I’m sitting in the passenger seat and can see my reflection in the chrome around his head light. Beck held it together and gunned it. He saw us at the last microsecond and swerved back into his lane.

We stopped off in Ozark, AR and had dinner to Rivertown BBQ. From there I debated on swinging north to Shores Lake to check in at the Search and Rescue command post to see if they needed me to relieve someone Thursday on a search for a missing woman. About the time we got to the turn off, I got a notification that she had been found. She had been missing in the woods for 2 days.

Thus endeth our trip home. Nothing left to do but laundry.

I did forget to post this last night when we got home.
