We are planting our #12 mums this week and should be done with all of them by this Thursday. It has been very hot here which as you know is not the best for mums but the young transplants are handling the heat quite well.

This year we decided to drive to Columbus for the Short Course. I really didn’t want to try to fly with the hassle of crutches and a metal rod and screws in my leg. So we have a leisurely two day drive ahead of us later this week. I will be posting pictures and comments from the trade show floor here if you want to keep up with what’s going on. I will also be posting on Twitter at www.twitter.com/parksbrothers (there is also a link to our Twitter account to the right of the screen).

We’re looking forward to the show since we didn’t get to go last year. Hopefully I will get to see some of you there.

It has been about 100 degrees everyday this week. My crew is cooked. I made sure that they stayed hydrated by telling them who was certified in CPR. After that they had no problem drinking enough water.
