Sun Up Coreopsis have clear yellow blooms that are semi-double and can reach 2 inches across. This Coreopsis was chosen as a Fleuroselect Ornamental Plant and is said to be the brightest coreopsis on the market. Enjoy the sunny flowers from mid spring to mid fall. Sun Up is more compact than Early Sunrise and blooms earlier than other varieties. Throw heat and drought at it and it powers right on through. Coreopsis are native to the Americas, the tropical parts of Africa and Hawaii. They are often seen growing in fields and along the roadside. They get their nickname “Tickseed” because their seeds look like ticks.
