Minuteman Hosta1Minuteman Hosta is similar to Patriot but the leaves are a darker green with brighter white margins. They can be slightly cupped and wavy. A little bit of morning sun will bring out the best color in Minuteman. In mid summer, lavender lily-like flowers rise up on long stems high above the foliage. These blooms can be cut for fresh flower arrangements and may attract hummingbirds.

Hostas are extremely popular, hardy herbaceous perennials grown primarily for their beautiful foliage. They are easy to grow, shade-tolerant plants. Leaves come in a wide range of shapes, colors, sizes, and textures and may be solid in color or variegated in different combinations of blue, green, white, and gold. The plants are low maintenance.  Hostas originally came from Japan, China, and Korea.  They were first introduced to Europe in the late 1700s and then came to the United States in the middle 1800s.
