Heatwave Brilliance Salvia (Sage) have large magenta blooms on green foliage that is very aromatic and compact. The Heatwave series was bred in Australia to withstand the hot, dry climate. It is a cross between microphylla x greggii which eliminates some of the issues that greggii has on it’s own such as spreading out and getting leggy. Since it was bred for the Australian climate, it is heat and drought tolerant. After a big bloom, cut the plant by half which will encourage more blooms and thicker foliage.
