Chaters Double Violet Alcea have light purple, double blooms that open from the bottom up over a long period during the summer blooming season. Alcea, or more commonly called Hollyhocks, have tall stalks with multiple blooms that open from the bottom up over the growing season. Since they grow so tall, they may need to be staked in a windy environment.
