Description: Alcea, or more commonly Hollyhocks, have tall stalks with multiple blooms that open from the bottom up over the growing season. Since they grow so tall, they may need to be staked in a windy environment.

Spacing: Plant 15″ to 24″ apart.

Height: Grows 4′ to 6′ tall.

How To Grow: Plant in full sun.

Outstanding Features: Remove old flowers if you don’t want them to reseed. Attracts bees and butterflies.

Tips: Likes moist soil. Don’t let them dry out between waterings.
