  • I HAVE A SCARLET PURSLANE $ I LIVE IN PA. WILL IT LIVE OUT SIDE OK?

    • Jason:

      Mary,

Thanks for leaving us a comment. Purslane loves sun and heat so outside is perfect for it as long as the weather is warm.

  • Kristin:

I have three purslane’s and absolutley love them. I live in VA, and was wondering if I planted them in the ground, would they come back next year?

    • Jason:

Purslanes are annual plants that will not survive winters except possibly in south Texas, Florida and California. Some varieties may reseed themselves and come back that way.

Hope this helps and thanks for contacting us.

  • Muriel Ferra:

Which part is edible or that you can put it in your salad? The flower, stems or leaves.
