Black Ornamental Pepper

Black Pearl Ornamental Peppers start out black and mature to a bright red color. It is a handsome plant with shiny foliage that emerges bright green and matures to black.  Pirate or not, ye be warned! These shiny black pearls be hot!  You may feel the need to walk the plank to cool off after one bite.

The unique foliage color adds great contrast in the landscape.  Black Pearl also performs well in containers as the center piece or background accent.

Ornamental Peppers produce an abundant amount of colorful peppers on compact plants. Most ornamental peppers are edible but consume with caution, some varieties are extremely hot!  The variety of colors, sizes and shapes make ornamental peppers great as accent plants.  Try them in mass plantings for an exciting show!
