Pink DianthusJolt Pink Dianthus has bright pink, single blooms with a rose ring in the center and ruffled edges. The foliage is dark green with narrow leaves. You will be sure to attract hummingbirds and butterflies to your flower garden when planting fragrant dianthus. Deer will not be found munching on this particular plant. Make sure that drought tolerant dianthus are planted in a location that drains well and try to avoid mulching with wood chips or organic material because this tends to transfer funguses to them.

The Jolt series is a cross between Sweet William and annual dianthus. This paring has created larger blooms that appear earlier than dwarf varieties and are self-cleaning. You can make gorgeous bouquets with the large bloom clusters. Jolt can withstand the hot temperatures of summer and will keep blooming when other varieties give out. They are semi-hardy from zone 7 to 11.
