Description: Thorndale has dark green leaves with a dense trailing habit. It is good for ground cover and walls and also is said to be the most hardy of the ivies. Like English Ivy, Thorndale can be invasive in some areas so check your area for any restrictions. If you want a little color during the winter, Thorndale’s foliage turns reddish during this time.
Spacing: Plant 10” to 18” apart.
Height: Grows 4” to 6” tall.
How To Grow: Plant in full sun to full shade.
Outstanding Features: Ivy is an excellent ground cover, but aggressive once established; prefers rich, acidic loamy soil but tolerates a range; drought tolerant. Some varieties are more hardy than others.
Tips: Ivy prefers moderately moist soil.
Uses: Garden Bed, Containers, Borders, Landscapes
