Gryphon Begonia

*We no longer grow this item, but feel free to peruse the information.

Gryphon Begonias have large maple-like leaves that are dark green splashed with silver. The undersides and stems are deep orange-red. These unique begonias are grown for their foliage since the small, white blooms usually come late and are very insignificant. Gryphon Begonias will add a dramatic touch to your landscape or containers and can be combined with impatiens or any other shade-loving plants for added “wow”. Provided with well-draining soil and occasional water, these beauties will grow into a mass of wonderfully textured leaves. Try to avoid direct sunlight. Part to full shade is best.
